  • Something about yesterday hit us all hard. I think it was the fact that many of us are striving to have what Kobe had, the impact, the success, the money, the beautiful family... & the reason many of find ourselves crying is because we can ONLY imagine what has happening mins before that helicopter went down, the parents holding their babies knowing what was going to happen or how those families feel knowing today they wake up without their loved ones.

It reminded us, that no success and money can’t save unexpected tragedies. It reminded us of what truly matters (we actually already know this and a lot of of the time we forget). It reminded us, that we are on the same playing field and we really get to present to our purpose and zone of genius so we leave the world a better place.

  • Being uncomfortable has never been my cup of tea (but I’ve done the uncomfy things), and it’s not always fun in the moment-of, but in the moment after has been the most liberating.⁣⁣

& every time I’m feeling a new layer being peeled or when my soul calls for another transformation, i find myself doing things like this. ⁣⁣

Started the meeting with some things we would implement moving forward as a collective, then we took a break, and we started breath work. Inside our breath work, i went in. I completely let go, i felt my body temperature dropped, i cried, i saw my kids, when i was jumpy i left parts of my old self leave, my breath allowed me to release and surrender. I was gone. It was like this high that i created without a drug. ⁣⁣

Then, the ice bath.. i was prepared (at the beginning), and then i looked outside and the outside looked cold, i was started to freak but i wanted to go first. The hit of the cold water would naturally make any body go into flight or fight. The only way I could contain my mind from not freaking out was by closing my eyes and breathing and going back to the same state i was in, during breath work session. ⁣⁣

You can tell when I first stepped in, I went straight into breathing through my mouth (sympathetic nervous system kicked in, a flight or fight response). ⁣
⁣⁣
When he said, “let your breath be taken away”, “trust your body”- it gave me permission to just let go. I stopped feeling and started breathing (through my nose & activated my parasympathetic).⁣
⁣⁣
Little did i know the work doesn’t stop when you leave the ice, it continues until you can naturally bring your body back to where you started from (no jumping, to rubbing your hands together, no towel), and just allowing yourself⁣⁣
to feel- without labeling it. ⁣WOW.⁣
⁣⁣
What i heard over and over again:⁣
“LET YOUR BREATH BE TAKEN AWAY.”⁣⁣
“TRUST YOUR BODY.”⁣⁣
“ALLOW YOURSELF TO FEEL.”⁣

  • Your mind, body, and soul will constantly try to fulfill their needs & when you are emotionally starving. You will subconsciously try to fulfill that by overeating, and many times causing excess fat. ⁣
⁣
Overeating and carrying extra fat in the physical body, means your beliefs and vibration are not in alignment with who you really are. ⁣
⁣
When fat builds up, indicates holding on to things, or a fear of letting go. Think about it, fat is protective, so build up for fat is a need to protect or hide ourselves from the world.⁣
⁣
What if we were more present to what we were eating? By asking ourselves things like, ”Why are are choosing to eat “this” food vs another? ⁣
⁣
By being in our body- respecting it when it gets hungry, (by feeding it immediately with food good or stopping before you get overly full), peeing when it asks us to, resting when it needs it ⁣
⁣
By blessing your food with love and allowing the energy that may have been lingering around to be set free ⁣
⁣
& most importantly, giving it grace every step of the way to healing and health, giving it love for how it effortlessly breathes without your reminder ⁣
